Off-Chain Fusing, New Matchmaking, and Changes to Lobby Types
By: Gabby Gorgonio | December 21, 2022
Updates have arrived, and in this post, we’ll go through multiple features and plans of the team that went live on December 21st!
Details
The new updates that come on the 21st of December are as follows:
- Off-Chain Fusing: Utilization of Locked Silver VIS for Pega Fusing
- Matchmaking: Introduction of New Matchmaking Method
- Changes to Lobby Types: Changes to Existing Lobby vs. Combined Lobby
Off-Chain Fusing
Through this update, Locked Silver VIS can now be utilized as the fee for Pega Fusion.
Players will now be capable of choosing whether they would like to use Locked Silver VIS (Off-Chain) or Gold VIS (On-Chain) for their Pega Fusion.
Change Default VIS to use operations
Players may now select which token to utilize for in-game operations. Please keep in mind that for the time being, this feature will only be accessible for fusing.
Note: The default VIS setting is only used for breeding, fusing, and other in-game operations; it does not apply to race entry fees.
Matchmaking
In order to lessen queue times, we have decided to implement a new matchmaking system that will fill rooms based on players queueing instead of filling rooms based on the number of rooms available.
Changes to Lobby Types:
Changes to Pledge Racing Lobby
1. Changes to Existing Lobby:
- Alteration of the amount of Pega in each lobby:
- Combined: 12 Racers
- Class 1: 12 Racers
- Class 2: 11 Racers
- Class 3: 10 Racers
- Class 4: 9 Racers
If a user enters a lobby of a lower reward, they are now allowed to do so (at the same energy cost, but -1 energy per lobby). However, a lower class Pega cannot play in higher-class lobbies.
An example of this phenomenon would be as follows:
- Legendary can play in Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4 Lobbies
- Rare can play in Class 1, Class 2 lobbies
You will receive the rewards of that lobby you enter, regardless of what breed type the Pega is.
2. Altered Rewards Structure (see the photo in the rewards section)
3. Lobby for each class each day will follow the lobby rotation section below the article.
4. Class 1 to Class 4 lobbies do not have drop rewards.
Combined Lobby replacement for Drop Racing
In this type of lobby, all lobby users from all breed types can enter. Consumption of energy will depend on the Pega’s breed type. (Drop Racing mode replacement)
- Energy used for races:
Putting in Drop Rewards to the “Combined Lobby”
Depending on how users react to this lobby, it may be feasible to remove the other lobbies in order to have only this Combined Lobby.
Alter Drop Rates
Changes to the drop rates for the following items in chest will be the following:
- Chroma: 30% -> 30%
- Race CD: 14% -> 30%
- Strength: 14% -> 15%
- Speed: 14% -> 15%
- Stat: 28% -> 10%
Rewards
Combined Lobby Rewards: Silver VIS(Claimable) + Key fragments + Chest (20% chance if 1st)
Pledge Racing Lobby Rewards: Silver VIS(Claimable)
Lobby Rotation
Each lobby will have a different element each day as follows:
For this example, the first element is for the first day, the next is the second day, and so on. On the fifth day, the elements will repeat.
