Corey Wilton, CEO of Mirai Labs, joins Coins.ph’s Country Manager Jen Bilango for an interactive AMA to discuss the future partnership and the potential both firms can offer to crypto and game enthusiasts all around the world.

What is Coins.ph & “Coins Arcade” for?

Jen: We are one of the Crypto OG’s in the Philippines that started way back in 2014—known as the biggest centralized exchange within the country.

We’re in the business of convenience. Making it convenient for you to buy, sell, and spend your crypto tokens through fiat off-ramp or on-ramp or making different tokens available on our exchange.

Coins Arcade is one of the ways we’ve expanded due to the demand for GameFi. This feature is a create-your-own non-custodial wallet (Web 3 Wallet) that allows most people to play any Web 3 game. Think of it as a seamless way to enter Web 3, making it easier to onboard new people.

Do I need to live in the Philippines to access Coins.ph?

Jen: We started as an exchange; we’ve expanded into digital wallets.

Do I need to be in the Philippines to access Coins Arcade? No, Coins Arcade is available in different countries and plans to operate in other countries.

What is the likelihood of VIS & PGX being listed on Coins.ph?

Corey: I would come to say that our companies are besties.. I would say, higher than a 50% chance. Jen, can you confirm or deny?

Jen: Definitely, I think it all depends on several factors, and we’re not removing that on the table; that’s always a part of the discussion. But yeah, there’s a high likelihood that we’ll have VIS & PGX.

How will Pegaxy and Coins.ph work together to bring P2E mainstream?

Corey: We approached Coins.ph for various apparent reasons; they were the OG wallet in the Philippines. They are an established company with many users, on-ramps and off-ramps, infrastructure, and licensing. So for us, it was a clear decision when they had the Arcade side of things.

Jen: Pegaxy is still evolving, and we’re keen to be part of this journey. There are many ways we can further P2E gaming under the Mirai umbrella. Pegaxy is one of the titles, but we’re also excited about future titles in the pipeline from Mirai. It is an easy yes for us since there’s already branding for Pegaxy.

There are a lot of synergies not just in branding but also userbase and alignment of improving the Play to Earn ecosystem.

What is Coins.ph strategy on getting more games?

Jen: We want to curate the games we choose. We have set the stones, parameters, and frameworks for the first few games or partners. We want to set an example with all the games we will be onboarding. It is a combination of understanding the market’s needs from a quality standpoint.

Our focus is being the Web 3 super app here in the Philippines. We will be one of the ways people can start their crypto journey, and hopefully, they do it with Coins.ph.

Do we have an estimated release date for Pegaxy on Coins Arcade?

Corey: An estimation of when Pegaxy will be playable will be around two months. At least internally, that is our hard deadline. It is in the Play Store if you want to play a very early version. The proper version for Coins Arcade will be a while away as we put the  proper work into that one.

What advantages does Coins.ph’s Coins Arcade offer compared to other platforms?

Jen: First, we offer KYC’d users, meaning verified users. Coins Arcade is a 1 to 1 ratio since before people can join Coins.ph, we are mandated to KYC since we are a regulated exchange.

Second, we are going to have onboarding as seamless as possible. Players must only remember their PIN for their Coins app, and then they can play or access Coins Arcade and our slew of games within it.

Last but not least, the current brand we have. We are one of the trusted brands in the country that provides value. Games that partner with us get put in front of our existing user base.

How did Coins.ph and Pegaxy identify each other as potential partners?

Corey: It was opportunistic, and the fact that we were already friends. It was straightforward to have a chat. Speaking to Jen, Coins.ph is trying to go enormous and looking for massive distribution within the Philippines. That’s what we want to be working with.

Jen: We know Mirai Labs has excellent comments and intentions for the market. Also, there’s still a good user base interested in learning more and following the future developments of the firm. We want to be part of that journey.

Lastly, Horse Racing is huge in the Philippines. If you look at our games in Coins Arcade, we will also have Karaoke. Our market in the Philippines loves these. We know Mirai has a massive opportunity to grow in the Philippines.

What Features and Earning Opportunities can we anticipate from Games Arcade?

Jen: We want to build more trust. Likely staking in the future, Margins/Futures, and more. You’ll see us offering traditional and new earning opportunities and easy off-ramping and on-ramping of Crypto & Web 3. More games will be available, and hopefully, Mirai’s following titles will also be there—partnerships not just with studios but guilds for the community.

How does the Integration of Pegaxy with Coins.ph benefit users with crypto management/transactions?

Jen: If we support your tokens within the exchange, you can exchange your Fiat into that token and then send them to your wallet. This will make it easier for people to buy assets/NFTs for that particular game.

What we will be doing with Coins Arcade is to make it easy for people to send crypto to their Web 3 wallet and back.

Can we use our old Metamask wallet in Coins Arcade?

Jen: We do not support Metamask yet. We have yet to get an import function in Coins Arcade, but we will look into it and other wallets. It is more dev work if you plan to integrate wallets since KYC is different.

Pegaxy delivered the first outstanding Rent utility in Play to Earn space. What innovative game features does the team have yet to offer?

Corey: The direction moving forward, people will be pretty surprised. Pegaxy, for sure, has a lot of NFT and token holders. Such opens it up with the other games for experimentation and unique features. People will be surprised by the general game design and how we try to influence players’ intent within the game.

The original thesis/model of Play to Earn has changed, but there is still substance from what was, and we have been experimenting heavily with that while innovating. The times are different. therefore we have to experiment and create new concepts for the demand.

“What this partnership entails is us checking on each other and asking what are you building, and how can we find a way to merge or find synergies to bring more people in. For the game development side, we’ll leave improving the game ecosystem to the capable hands of Mirai Team. But for us, what we hope to do is to make the onboarding part as seamless as possible as a distribution channel.”

FAQ's

Yes, you can fuse your Pega at any breed-count however the resulting Pega will always be:

  • Fuse to Rare – Rare with 2/7 Breed Count;
  • Fuse to Epic – Epic with 3/7 Breed Count;
  • Fuse to Legendary – Legendary with 4/7 Breed Count;

If you decide to fuse two Virgin Pacer Hoz, regardless of their breed count, the resulting Pega will be a 2/7 Rare Hoz.

The resulting Pega always has the “lower” bloodline, this is similar to the breeding mechanic.

If you fuse a Hoz Rare 2/7 and a Zan Rare 2/7, the resulting Pega will be a Zan Epic 3/7.

2 Pacers + 8,000 $VIS + 30 $PGX = 1 Rare

2 Rares + 16,000 $VIS + 30 $PGX = 1 Epic

2 Epics + 32,000 $VIS + 30 $PGX = 1 Legendary

In this game, you will need to own at least 1 Pega & a set amount of VIS in order to play. You can buy a Pega in our marketplace. If you want it to try first before buying a pega, there is an option to rent.

No, you just need to pay gas fee for moving your pega to racing metaverse after that you can race your pega without paying gas fee.

Each Pega has 25 energy capped, 1 energy is restored per hour and 1 race needs 1 energy.

For Drop Racing, 25 energy as well however…

  • Pacer will consume 5 energy
  • Rare will consume 4 energy
  • Epic will consume 3 energy
  • Legendary will consume 2 energy
  • Founding will consume 1 energy

For you to be noticed by Pegaxy Managers you need to be active in their community, you can also share your talent as some Pegaxy Managers look for scholars to be their artist, designer, editor etc.

You can use PGX, USDT and USDC as the currency for buying a Pega on the Pegaxy marketplace, you will be needing additional MATIC tokens as gas fee.

Step 1: Add the VIS CA to your Metamask. Click on “Import Token” and paste the CA:

Step 2: Proceed to https://kyberswap.com/#/swap, connect your metamask, and switch to Polygon Network.

Step 3: Under “From”, click on “MATIC” then select any cryptocurrency (that is in Polygon Chain) you will use to purchase VIS tokens.

Under “To”, click on “KNC” below, then select “VIS” or paste the VIS CA.

Tips: 1% slippage is enough but if you would want a faster transaction, increase it to 3% or 5%. MATIC will be used for gas.

Step 4: Click “Swap”, then hit “Confirm Swap”.

Step 5: Your MetaMask will pop-up. Hit “Confirm”.

DONE! The VIS is in your MetaMask!

You can only breed opposite gender. Pega are metal machines, therefore when breeding, there are no restrictions. Breeding is possible with parents, children, grandchildren and so on.

The length of time needed for a baby Pega to be able to breed is 96 hours for all bloodlines.

24 hours for Hoz, 48 hours for Campona, 72 hours for Klin and 96 hours for Zan

Baby Pega will only be able to generate energy after the initial 24 hours for Zan, 48 hours for Klin, 72 hours for Campona, and 96 hours for Hoz,

– The 15 day countdown begins when you first connected your wallet.
– Withdraw any time you want after your VIS is unlocked. You are not required to withdraw the moment the VIS is unlocked. This allows you to be able to unlock the following VIS you earn so long as you have a claim ready.
– The 15 day countdown resets from the point you claim.

The PGX is per breed. The VIS is per Pega, add the VIS cost of each Pega and then just add PGX.

Reset your metamask account, to reset your account go to metamask settings > advanced > reset account. This should clear all your pending transactions. Then try again edit the Gwei.

First, put your Pega in idle state, then on the Pega details screen, look for an edit icon next to the Pega name. Renaming your Pega will cost you 550 VIS.

Yes. In order to reclaim your funds, go to My Assets > Sale History > Auction.

If Polygon is not Suspended in Binance:
1. Claim your locked VIS tokens in Pegaxy website
2. Check if the VIS tokens has reflected in your wallet in Metamask (If not, import VIS token address: 0xcC1B9517460D8aE86fe576f614d091fCa65a28Fc)
3. Swap VIS to USDC in https://kyberswap.com/. Make sure to add USDC Polygon CA to your MetaMask: 0x2791bca1f2de4661ed88a30c99a7a9449aa84174

5. Convert USDC to USDT then sell your USDT in P2P Binance in exchange to your local currency.
