What Pega Bloodline should I buy?

4 elements from 4 different bloodlines of Pega with their varying racing/breeding cooldowns. If you were given the choice to choose, and you can’t seem to do so, read along to gather information about these Pegas in order to be a step closer to deciding your first Pega.
The different Pega bloodlines:
Looking closely, the Pegas can be differentiated by the appearance of their wings…
There are 4 different bloodlines, namely:
- Zan – The Pega of the Wind (1st from the left)
- Klin – The Pega of the Waters (3rd from the left)
- Campona – The Pegas of the Flames (4th from the left)
- Hoz – The Pega of Lightning (2nd from the left)
These elements do not matter when it comes to racing at the moment, but there is a possibility it may come to be as the game continues to develop…
Why does bloodline matter?
Pegaxy’s bread and butter is the game of racing and breeding, and it is a necessity that it be well known that the Pega bloodlines operate differently during their baby stage, racing cooldown, and breeding cooldown…
Pega Racing & Breeding Cooldown that is unique to its bloodline:
Newborn Pega Racing CD (UPDATED):
- Zan – Newborn Zans’ will take 24h before racing.
- Klin – Newborn Klins’ will take 48h before racing.
- Campona – Newborn Camponas’ will take 72h before racing.
- Hoz – Newborn Hoz’ will take 96h before racing.
Adult Pega Breeding Cooldown (UPDATED):
- Hoz – Adult Hoz’ will take 24h before breeding again.
- Campona – Adult Camponas’ will take 48h before breeding again.
- Klin – Adult Klins’ will take 72h before breeding again.
- Zan – Adult Zans’ will take 96h before breeding again.
Now that we’ve covered the features they have unique to themselves, lets tackle the racing/breeding features a Pega has that is applicable to all of them:
Pega Racing & Breeding Cooldown that is true for all:
- All Adult Pegas will have a 96 hour cooldown for racing after being used for breeding.
NOTE: These Pegas can still be used for breeding so long as their Breeding Cooldown has finished! However, their Racing Cooldowns can COMPOUND.
As an example, breeding an adult Hoz would give it a 4 DAY COOLDOWN for racing… Breeding it again the next day will add up to a 7 DAY COOLDOWN. ( 4 days – 1 day + 4 days )
- All Newborn Pegas will not be able to breed for 96 hours.
This is put in order to slow down the breeding of Pegas (the only source of $VIS creation), giving the team more time to develop more utility/features for a more stable economy.
Breeding with different Bloodlines:
With Hoz (Dark Red) as its rarest bloodline and Zan (Pink) as the least rare bloodline, this ideology came from the Founding Pega sale, where Hoz had the most limited supply.
Offspring is guaranteed to be the lesser rare bloodline whenever these Pega’s are cross-bred. So as an example:
- Breeding a Hoz with a Hoz would guarantee a Hoz.
- However, breeding a Hoz with a Klin would guarantee its offspring as the lesser rare bloodline.
FAQ:
- “Does my bloodline matter for racing/gaining $VIS?” – Future updates may or may not have factors that will affect this, but no, at the moment, racing is meant to be balanced for ALL bloodlines.
- “Why is x Bloodline more expensive than y Bloodline, does this mean anything?” – We are not in control of the market and we do not handle these prices. It is the players that decide what price they place their Pegas.
- “Will these bloodlines matter even more in the future?” – Absolutely, the team is working on more ways to utilize the various Pegas.
